April Newsletter 2022

Dear Residents,

Although right now spring feels far off, it is right around the corner. With spring arriving soon, our recreation park becomes alive with many activities for our youth in the Pigeon area.

Please be mindful of the speed limit in the area near the Bandshell to the baseball/softball fields. Small children can dart out between parked vehicles. The speed limit in that area is 15 mph.

This spring all street signs will be replaced on every corner. Our signs have faded badly and will be replaced with Laker green and white colors.

Street and infrastructure replacement will continue this year on North Frank Street from Michigan Avenue to Charles Street. A $215,000 grant will help pay for this extensive work. Once again all funding is in place to pay for the project without adding any long-term debt payments for our residents. Most of the infrastructure being replaced is 50- 75 years old.

Sidewalk replacement work will continue this summer as well.

Have a great spring.

Sincerely,
Michael LePage
Village President
