April Newsletter 2025

Dear Residents,

As we eagerly anticipate the arrival of spring, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for your continued cooperation in keeping vehicles off the streets during overnight hours. Your efforts have allowed our staff to efficiently manage snow removal throughout the winter.

Upcoming Projects and Improvements
There are no major street projects planned for 2025. However, the final blacktop coat for Berne Street is scheduled to be applied this spring. Additionally, we’re continuing to make progress on the planned playscape addition at Recreation Park.

Memorial Day Ceremony
Last year, we were honored to host our first Memorial Day service in several years at Veterans Park. As part of the ceremony, we read aloud the names of veterans, both living and deceased, submitted by residents. We invite you once again to submit the names of family members, friends, or neighbors you would like to honor this year. Please contact Village Hall by phone or email with any names you’d like included.

Honoring a Dedicated Community Leader
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of lifelong community leader Ted Leipprandt. Ted dedicated 36 years to the Cooperative Elevator, serving the last 13 years as CEO and President. He was also an active and passionate member of the Pigeon Rotary Club, holding numerous state leadership positions. Ted’s contributions extended to chairing the Village’s 100-year celebration in 2003. His commitment and service to our community will not be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.

Wishing You a Wonderful Spring
Thank you again for your continued support and engagement in making Pigeon a great place to live. I look forward to a bright and busy season ahead.

Sincerely,
Michael LePage
Village President
