February Newsletter 2025

Dear Residents,

This winter has been quite different from last year—more snow, colder temperatures, and strong winds. Our DPW crew has been working hard to keep up with the steady snowfall. We kindly ask that you continue to park your cars off the streets overnight, as it greatly helps with snow removal. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

At our February Village Council meeting, we voted unanimously to keep water and sewer rates unchanged for 2025. We are fully aware of the rising costs of water, and while we don't have control over rate increases, we strive to ease the burden where possible.

Regarding the ongoing water discoloration issue, we are making progress. EGLE has been involved and identified a mineral from the lake, especially during warmer months, which may be contributing to the problem. They are exploring solutions, and we remain hopeful for a positive outcome.

Wishing you a great rest of your winter!

Sincerely,
Mike LePage
Village President
